Imagine, even in the bush people does litter. Regardless, Madewini is so far my most favorite part of Guyana.
Ouara/Owara(??) fruits are in the second photo. Tasty but too much of a hassle to eat imo

i am the wom
couldn't even dream of
made of earth
and the oppression
of my grandmothers
I am a descendent of Joseph Merriam, born in Kent, England, who arrived on the shores of Charleston, Massachusetts aboard the ship "Castle" in 1638. He was admitted freeman in 1639 and died in 1640. This is as far as we can see on my patriarchal native side of the family, thanks to the deliberation and labor of my Mormon ancestors and my closest brother.
With this information now known to me, my bad days and unfortunate circumstances seem a bit trivial... picture the dissonance of women's lives today to women in that era: treated as property and perpetually oppressed and silenced. But I try not to view things in terms of being good or bad : aawi - "it just is". My grandmothers would be terrified and proud of me.
#TheRealDeal That’s the nickname you earn by becoming boxing’s first 4-time heavyweight champion not to mention the cruiserweight belt as well. That nickname is real when you’re @evander_holyfield and you beat guys like Tyson, Foreman & Holmes. Sleeveless hoody is back. Link in bio #RootsofFight#KnowYourRoots
